There were many who wished to see Winterfell rebuilt to the great castle it had once been. Lords and ladies from all over the North came to Jon of their own free will; they wished to help in any way possible. Even men who had once harbored plans to exchange his sister Arya for ransom came to Winterfell with good intentions. Jon was initially hesitant to trust the men, despite their claim to serve the realm. It was not until he saw for himself how much they seemed to love Arya and how much she loved them in return, that he came to place his faith in them.
